Serge Gainsbourg – Ah! Melody
De La Soul – Held down (feat. Cee-Lo Green)
Serge Gainsbourg (April 2, 1928 – March 2, 1991) was a french poet-songwriter, singer, actor, novelist, painter and director. Gainsbourg’s varied style and individuality made him difficult to categorize. Although famous in France for many years, he did not achieve his first No. 1 album until 1979, when he released Aux Armes et caetera more than twenty years after his music career had begun. But since the 1980s, his legacy has been firmly established.

Jeunes gens modernes

Poni Hoax – Antibodies
Poni Hoax is a five man army of «jeunes gens modernes», bookworm musicians and extremely talented composers.

Their lead vocalist, Nicolas Ker tackles an ambitious and unique style that walks the thin line between a decadent Morrissey or an elegiac Jim Morrisson. This quizzical dandy with an exotic touch (born from French-Cambodian parents in Egypt).

Pompougnac

Stephane Pompougnac – Closer To Julie (feat. Janice Andrade)

Stéphane Pompougnac is a French House DJ, musician, composer and producer who was born in the South of France.
Very early on, Stéphane was fascinated by different kinds of music, listening to pop, rock and new wave. The real trigger happened in the late 80s, when he discovered house. One day in 1997 in Paris, when he was already a fairly famous DJ, he met up with Jean-Louis Costes, who asked him to mix music at his hotel restaurant. Very soon they had the idea of a compilation which could spread worldwide the spirit of the Hôtel Costes, this mythic glamorous place.

St. Germain – Sentimental Mood

‘St Germain’ is the stage name of Ludovic Navarre and based on the story of The Count of St. Germain, a mysterious and eccentric man from the XVIIIth century who claimed to be several hundred years old.
St Germain is among the leading French masters to have established the ‘French Touch’: the ‘French Traxx EP’ and ‘Motherland EP’, both released in 1993, introduced his style: a mix of deep house, jazz and lounge; sampling and real instruments playing side to side.
